When telling your employer a little white lie to get out of work it is not suggested to say a family member is sick, or has been injured. It will come back and bite you in the ass. For example my co-workers brother told his employer that his older brother got into a motorcycle accident. Long story short, one week later his older brother did get into a bad motorcycle accident (but is recovering)....
